The other day, I was innocently driving down the road when an elderly Seda Glider jumped up on the roof of the van. I have no idea why these things happen to me.
It's a long boat at 19 feet.
Got it home and thankfully passed close inspection.
First time out in down town St Pete. We launched at Coffee Pot Park which is 5 minutes from our house and paddled to the Pier and back. I’m a recreational paddler and my other boat is a Cape Horn 17 which is a lot more sedate. Lots to learn with the new boat. Definitely likes to go straight. Will be fixing and reinstalling the rudder pronto as it’s a total cow in a tight turn, but that’s not what it’s designed for. Paddled great in flat water. Got a little more interesting in the 1-2ft Tampa bay chop. Without a rudder it's difficult to maneuver to pick your way through the waves. Chop was piling up and breaking a bit at the entrance to Vinoy Basin. The boat eagerly mini-surfed in.
Stopping for a cooling off swim.
Very not good for Mangrove channel exploring :-)
Kristi's Dagger is perfect for Mangroves.
